Kathmandu University Online Exam System

Online exams are digital assessments conducted via internet platforms, allowing students to take tests remotely using computers or mobile devices. They typically include formats like multiple-choice questions, essays, or interactive tasks, with features such as timed access, auto-grading, and secure proctoring to prevent cheating. Benefits include flexibility for anytime/anywhere participation, instant feedback, eco-friendly paperless design, and personalized accommodations (e.g., extra time or text-to-speech). However, they require reliable internet and may challenge academic integrity, often addressed through tools like browser lockdowns or oral defenses.

Instructions and Rules

  • As we collect user data, please allow the system access to your microphone and camera.
  • Your computer screen, audio, and video, as well as your entire assessment experience, are all being recorded.
  • If you open a new tab, try to connect any device to your computer, share screen, use any electronic device, use another application, or try to speak with others after receiving three warnings from the system, you will be automatically disqualified.
  • In the event of an electricity or an internet cutoff, the user can resume the test from the point where it was interrupted. The Recruitment Officer, on the other hand, will decide whether or not to allow you to continue the Assessment. As a result, you should contact the Recruitment Officer as soon as possible.
  • The countdown timer in the upper center portion of the screen will show you how much time you have left to finish the exam. The examination will automatically finish when the timer hits zero. This is a timed evaluation, so keeping track of time while answering the questions is critical.
  • Remember to switch off all pop-up notifications, including email, system updates, message notifications, and social media. Please be aware that if you receive three notification pop-ups, you will be disqualified from this test. You are not allowed to click outside of the exam screen or you will be disqualified.
  • Once you've submitted your response, you won't be able to preview it or move between Objective and Subjective Questions. As a result, please double-check your answers before and during the submission process.
